Giving a new quality of life to a historic city poised for the future

From transportation improvements to park facilities and fire stations, Riverside California is undergoing a rapid transformation. The Riverside Renaissance compresses some 30 years' of improvements into just five years, bringing better services and new resources to residents, businesses and visitors.

With explosive growth in the region, Riverside has accelerated many projects and has created this website to allow you to review the progress of its five-year, $1.7 billion initiative to repair the infrastructure and improve the quality of life of Riverside. The projects listed in this website will be updated as the Renaissance plan progresses, so keep checking back for new information. Projects have been grouped into six project categories and four geographic areas within the City. These areas do not follow neighborhood or ward boundaries and are simply used to group the project information.

Riverside Renaissance is not just about public infrastructure, but about an investment in the quality and pride of our great city. The projects will ensure that Riverside is a “city of choice” for generations to come, as well as a catalyst for private investment. As the city invests in itself, Riverside becomes a more-attractive location for new job, retail and entertainment opportunities. All of which enhances the wealth of the community and ensures Riverside’s position as the economic, governmental and cultural capital of inland Southern California.
